Children’s Ministries

 

Children’s Ministries at Otterbein includes the Sunday School Program, fun activities, worship opportunities, outreach and mission projects, and more.

 

The Children’s committee plans and organizes at least one special event each month including: Parent’s Night Outs, Easter Egg Hunt, VBS, Carnival, Movie Nights, etc. In October through December and February through May, Wacky Wednesday’s for children ages 4 years through completion of 5th grade gather to take part in a Bible Study and work on the Seasonal Program to be presented during the 10:45 Service twice a year at Christmas and in the spring. During the fall, winter, and spring the children sing in church on the second Sunday of each month.

 

The children also participate in and organize several missions. Each November we collect shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child. During VBS in June we collect for several missions including: UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) school kits, health kits, and flood buckets and supplies for the Welcome Home Shelter in Greensburg. We also participate in the Community Carnival in July where we reach out the community.
